DataX is a Chrome extension that helps you capture publicly visible business and profile information from web pages you actively open on Google, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and export it to CSV, Excel or Google Sheets.
When you run a search, DataX reads the public information shown on the result pages you open (business name, category, rating, phone, website, and — when you enable it — an email scraped from the business's own website). It acts only on pages you choose to search.
The extension itself stores your collected leads locally in your browser until you export or clear them — we do not receive them. The only data sent to our servers is license verification: your account email, license key and an anonymous device identifier, used solely to validate your subscription and enforce device limits. We do not sell or share this data.
When you create a DataX account or subscribe, we store your name, email, optional phone/city, and payment records (handled by Razorpay; we never store card details). This is used to provide the service and your license.
DataX is intended for capturing public information you are entitled to collect. You are responsible for complying with each website's Terms of Service and applicable data-protection laws (e.g. GDPR/CCPA) when you collect, store or use personal data.
